SendIt is a desktop MVP for sending files from person to person, encrypted and with no central servers.
What it does
- Direct transfer between users over the IPFS protocol
- End-to-end encryption with a private key
- Local cryptographic identity per device
- User tags to find each other without giving up privacy
What we built
A direct P2P tunnel: the file travels from user A to user B without touching a central server, and Firebase only acts as an ephemeral “phonebook” to connect them. Flutter Desktop interface and an IPFS node written in Go.
